About the role
The Wind Resource Engineer Intern will assist our APAC engineering team to develop a data monitoring system for all meteorological masts that we have. You will utilize your knowledge in Python code, SQL, and Microsoft Azure system to revise and update the codes, re-deploy the codes to the Cloud, and make sure BADASS back to life again and help supporting us solving these issues.

The internship position will be based in our Regional Head Office, Wireless Road, Bangkok, Thailand.                        
 

What You Will Do

  • Support the engineering team to improve wind data management and analysis on BayWa r.e. Azure Data Analytics System (using Python and Ms. Azure environment)
  • Build automatic tools for wind data analysis, energy calculation, and reports
  • Perform wind data analysis, wind turbine layout, and energy calculation by using wind-energy-software, such as Windographer and Openwind

What You Bring

  • Third or Fourth-year undergraduate or an ongoing master’s degree in Engineering/ Wind Energy/ Physics/ Meteorology or equivalent program at an accredited university
  • Enthusiastic about the wind energy and keen to learn about the frontier technologies
  • Strong knowledge of wind energy is an advantage
  • Have analytical thinking ability and an independent way of working
  • Convenient working with large datasets, excited to explore data, and find deeper reasons for the results
  • Strong practical knowledge of programming language (Python), database system (SQL), Microsoft Azure, and/or VBA would be preferred
  • Collaborate closely with team members in Wind/Engineering department
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Programme Period:
  • Available for 4 to 6 months for 40 hours a week
  • Others will be considered as appropriate.
