We are recruiting a Solar Project Development Trainee for our office in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

To support our Project Development team in Malaysia

Responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Support the Project Development Team on assigned projects to organize, execute and coordinate schedules for multiple energy projects and contractors.
  • Monitor and assess renewable energy policy in SEA, gather market information and provide overview to the team.
  • Manage and keep track of project pipeline and developers’ database for SEA.
  • Support the team to develop projects from greenfield to ready to build, including obtaining all necessary permits for the construction of the projects.
  • Assist to develop and execute project risk management plans for new markets and new projects.
  • Ensure plans and project documents are complete.
  • Produce and revise master schedules using MS Project.
  • Work closely with engineering and operation team to manage development process and transition from development through execution to the sales team.
  • Compile and maintain a checklist of permits and licenses required by solar projects in Vietnam/Philippines/Indonesia in order to be eligible to receive a development permit; and
  • Participate in weekly meetings and discussions, taking meeting minutes, understanding the status and challenges in active projects.
  • You will learn development process from Greenfield to COD, prefeasibility study, financial assessment, and project execution and management.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

  • Fresh graduated in the field of renewable energy, business, economics, or engineering
  • Have fluent English language skills and preferably have further language skills of one of the APAC countries
  • Confident in using the common MS Office programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint
