We are recruiting a Solar Project Developer for our office in Seoul, Korea.

In the APAC region, we already have more than 270 employees located in our country offices throughout the APAC region (Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, and Australia). We have an established team of highly skilled and dedicated professionals growing our business activities by developing, constructing, and operating our renewable generation portfolio throughout the region.

Purpose:
This position will support the development of solar project in South-Korea. The position is based in our office in Seoul and will report to the head of solar development South-Korea.

What You Will Do

  • Utilize own network and develop a company network in Korea to source, evaluate and negotiate Solar PV projects (both C&I and Utility Scale).
  • Develop relationships and JV with local developers, EPC companies or any other company that could accelerate sourcing pipeline of projects
  • Source, acquire land and projects under development
  • Manage key client accounts in Korea – Prepare and deliver progress reports, proposals, documentations, and presentations.
  • Standardize and negotiate project sales, EPC contracts and lease/Power purchase agreements (PPA contracts).
  • Evaluate project financial returns and to conduct project due diligence.
  • Prepare and submit tender documents.
  • Prepare and manage request for Investment documentation and process.
  • Lead project development during the development and permitting stage of Solar PV projects until projects become Ready to Build.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Project Management team to manage development process and transition from development through execution
  • Set and continually manage project forecasts with team members and other stakeholders

What You Bring

  • BS in Engineering, Business or Economics is required
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in developing solar projects in Korea is a must.
  • Fluent Korean speaker and business-level in English (both verbal and written),
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
  • Strong understanding of energy systems, including the proper usage of basic components and conventional installation and interconnection methods.
