About the role

The Site Construction Manager (Solar) will be responsible for the delivery of allocated solar project(s). This will cover the construction and technical delivery of the asset, normally from pre-construction, construction and through to commercial operations.
 
The role is primarily site based and the Construction Manager will be required to travel to other solar projects as required.

What You Will Do

You manage the construction of our solar parks (Ground mounted, Tracker, Floating, Agri-PV) in the EMEA region with a focus on United Kingdom and Ireland, from the technical evaluation to the final commissioning. That includes but is not limited to:
  • You are responsible for the professional implementation of large-scale PV systems in quality, time and budget
  • You will be on site during construction
  • You have to perform quality check of work and services
  • You are the technical project manager and interface between Engineering Team and construction partners
  • You are the first point of contact on site for subcontractors and third parties
  • You have to make sure that the material delivery and construction aligns with the working schedule
  • You ensure the work is in compliance with local, national and international regulations
  • You are proficient in UK Health and Safety regulations including CDM.
  • You produce and issue a weekly construction progress report, inventory checklist and quality report
  • You will commission the park
  • You have to commence acceptances of subcontractors and with the investors
  • You will finally handover the project to Operation & Services

What You Bring

  • You are an electrician or have similar knowledge
  • You have relevant work experience in the management of international construction sites
  • You have fluent English skills
  • You are well versed in MS Office
  • You are assertive, communicative, team-oriented and delivery results through a well structured way of working
  • You have a willingness to travel throughout the UK, and potentially Europe.
