We are recruiting a Junior Wind Project Developer for our office in Seoul, Korea.

To support our Wind Project development in South Korea

Responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Monitor and assess renewable energy policy in South Korea, determining priority strategic objectives for the business;
  • Attend industry events and raise BayWa brand awareness in the market;
  • Support with potential new site identification and selection, advising on and sourcing local data/information to guide the technical assessments;
  • Work with brokers, consultants, service providers and EPC contractors to identify potential new locations with high potential for development;
  • Assessment of new project investment opportunities, working with Bangkok management and support functions on technical and commercial appraisals;
  • Monitoring key economic drivers for each opportunity, managing internal resources to prepare and submit offers;
  • Site visits to confirm commercial points and technical assumptions and gather data;
  • Preparing and maintaining project documentation to report project status to management;
  • Managing Global Information System (GIS) software oversight of project opportunities and/or overseeing surveying activities to maintain a detailed and accurate data base of land use boundaries and exclusions for projects and opportunities;
  • Ensuring project compliance with local regulations and company policy; 
  • Reporting progress to management and tracking key risks/issues. Maintaining a project technical execution plan;
  • Travel in country for business as required.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

  • Either an enthusiastic graduate with a passion for renewables or with a few years experience working in a renewable energy field, candidates with hands on involvement developing wind projects in South Korea are highly preferred;
  • Third level degree, ideally in environmental science, town planning, an engineering, science or mathematical field, but all qualifications and experience considered on merit;
  • Good negotiation & relationship building skills, able to build and maintain rapport internally and externally;
  • Fluent in both Korean and English with the ability to clearly express complex issues in both languages;

What we are ready to offer you:

  • Salary range KRW 42,000,000 – KRW 600,000,000 depending on experience, track record, and abilities.
  • Performance bonus based on achieving personal targets and company performance.
  • Annual leave of 15 days per annum, increasing with service period in accordance with the company policy up to a maximum of 25 days.
