Who we are:
act renewable GmbH is an independent international strategic renewable energy advisory, headquartered in Munich, Germany, and with an office in Ho Chi Min City, Vietnam.
We have the ambition to accelerate and simplify the path to zero-carbon emission for multi-national corporates. 

We support corporate brands and their suppliers around the world and have for the past years been advising clients across South East Asia.

We are engaged with large brands within apparel & sports-wear, hygiene/pharma, financial, technology services as well as industrial manufacturing.

We are a joint venture between renewable energy developer BayWa r.e and environmental consulting firm RESET Carbon.  By combining BayWa r.e.’s technical expertise with RESET Carbon’s corporate consulting insights, we offer business solutions for every stage of the corporate renewable energy transition.

What are we looking for:

  • We are looking to expand our team in South east Asia with a team member who can help us develop and execute our business plan, in collaboration with the existing staff in Asia and Europe, as well as our parent companies in the region.
  • We are looking for an experienced colleague, who can engage with the larger regional and international corporates and their suppliers in Asia, and who understand the legislative and commercial boundaries and opportunities in the market, and who can build and tailor services fitting our clients’ needs in their pursuit of a low carbon future.
  • We are looking for a colleague who understands the structures and dynamics of the different technical renewable procurement products (PPA, leasing, EPC, EAC purchase, etc.) and who is capable of navigating in this space and leading engagements and advisory services with our clients on these topics.
  • We are looking for a colleague who has the skills, appetite, and responsibility to lead our team in Asia and to represent our business towards our clients in these markets.
    We are looking for a colleague who can simplify complex solutions to non-technical clients, as well as the ability to balance multiple different types of commercial and technical tasks at the same time.

Professional execution, delivering value-adding analysis and recommendation to our clients to base their decision-making on, is the core of our business. Therefore, we need a well-organized person with a solid project management skill-set and good analytical capabilities, who understands the corporate world, the challenges, and approach to renewable energy transition.

  • Representing act renewables services to the Asian market

  • Along with the MD and other team members, responsible for developing the Asia strategy and execute accordingly

  • Manage and oversee our engagements with our clients and partners in Asia

  • Develop relationships and mandates with new clients in the Asian region in strong collaborations with the team in Europe and Asia

  • Build networks with both governmental officials, relevant NGO’s and commercial partners in Vietnam and rest of Asia

  • Be a strong ‘in-region’ colleague for our regional service delivery and support the executing team with both leadership support and hands-on service delivery when required.

  • Provide input in the form of commercial, technical and financial advice, and ensure incorporation of the technical assessment of renewable energy transition (electricity and heating) provided by colleagues.

  • Facilitate and deliver client-training, as well as represent act renewable along with colleagues in networks, forums, and at conferences in the region.

  • Close collaboration and alignment with the two parent companies RESET Carbon and BayWa r.e. about developing and deliver services in the Asian market.

Preferred experience, skills, and profile:

  • Ideally, min. 7-10 years of experience within renewable energy or low-carbon development and planning, advisory services, or corporate sustainability

  • Have had commercial and/or client-facing roles in the past

  • People manager experience

  • Experience from working in international teams and collaborating with both local and international stakeholders from the Corporate and NGO/development or the Governmental side

  • Project management and technical/financial advisory experience within a consultancy or corporate functions

  • Experience with proposals, report writing as well as presenting to C-level management

  • Understanding of corporate decision-making processes

  • Confident in performing technical and financial renewable energy assessments

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in science, economics, or engineering is preferred

  • Strong commercial and strategic understanding and ability to put it into the context of the renewable energy transition for multinational corporates.

  • Able to simplify and communicate complex topics to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong team leadership skills

  • A solid leader-figure who knows how to stimulate and motivate colleagues to follow a direction and not being afraid of being out front getting his/her ‘hands dirty’.

  • A strong motivation to develop a business in Asia.
