(Senior) Electrical engineer (d/f/m)
What You Will Do
- Contributing to the planning of renewable energy solutions with PV installations (rooftop, ground-mounted, carport) combined with storage solutions, E-mobility applications, and energy management systems (EMS)
- Creating electric diagrams (SLD and circuit diagrams) and calculations for medium and low-voltage PV installations
- Cable calculations, sizing and dimensioning circuit breakers, fuses and measurement systems
- Specifying the communications and control systems design of the projects
- Engineering Reviews of PV power plants, including review of documentation, performing & reviewing site inspections and preparation of customer deliverables.
- Develops and reviews construction drawings and documentation to effectively communicate electrical installation details to construction teams
- Interact directly with clients for successful project execution
- Supporting document managers to collect all the required documentations according to the contract
- Design Review, reporting and generation of Bill of Materials
- Collecting technical lesson-learns after commissioning
- Support the commissioning
Depending on the experience and seniority level, you can also be involved in:
- Technical sales support
- Acting as a lead engineer in implementation phase of the projects.
- Leading project designs of multi-discipline teams
- Leading site visits to gather notes and take pictures of existing conditions to aid in design and identify critical flaws.
- Acting as grid connection engineer to define the grid connection concept depending on the requirement of the DNO and the costumer.
- Performing assignment and progress tracking of tasks for team members and subconsultants.
- Organization and coordination of technical meetings
- Quality assurance and control of installation and commissioning
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
What You Bring
- Degree in electrical engineering, or equivalent technical certificate and expertise.
- You have relevant practical experience in engineering and design of power systems or plants or grid connection management, including low and medium voltage (preferably more than 3 years).
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Preferably good understanding of string plan, module layout, and DC substructure.
- Preferably good knowledge in grid connection process and requirements in Germany, and also VDE 4105 and 4110
- You are fluent in business English; and good knowledge in German (preferably at least B1 level).
- You are proficient with MS Office, Visio; skills with further tools in electrical design are a plus.
- You are assertive and work well in a team; you have good communication skills and a structured way of working.
