About the role
As a Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d), you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining our data infrastructure and analytics pipelines - from our offices in Munich or Berlin, or within Germany. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data science, AI engineering, and software engineering, to ensure the availability, scalability, and reliability of our data systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of data engineering best practices.

About the role

What You Will Do
- You will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and integration workflows
- You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data science, AI engineering, and software engineering, to understand data requirements and implement effective data models
- You will optimize data processing workflows for performance and reliability
- You will ensure data quality and integrity through validation and cleansing techniques
- You will monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to minimize downtime
- You will implement data governance and security measures
Your Profile
- Strong foundation in computer science, engineering, or related disciplines
- Track record of designing and implementing data pipelines and complex data models
- Proficiency in Python, SQL and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Strong expertise in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL development
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or other relevant data services
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data science concepts is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional proficiency of written and spoken English
