We are recruiting a Sales Manager / Solar Trade - Malaysia for our office in Malaysia.

Solar Trade business is expanding in Southeast Asia and we are looking for unique market leader to join us. The position will be based in Cyber Jaya office, Malaysia.

Responsibilities we will trust you with:

  • Reporting to the Regional Sales Director. The position is based in Malaysia

  • Established trade/distribution business for Malaysia. Build sales accounts and developing client relationships as sales lead.

  • Strategically develop Malaysia trade business and contributing to regional trade sales revenue.

  • Actively seek new clients and develop sales channels in the Solar sector in Malaysia and neighboring countries

  • Understand customer requirements to promote the sale of company products, services, and to provide strong pre and post sales support

  • Provide marketing feedback and enables marketing activities to promote brand and products in order to increase sales.

  • Manage pre and post sales requirements of the client during the whole life cycle of the project

  • Carries out local customer seminars and trainings for the local market in Malaysia. Conducts training for the customer to familiarize them with the product lines and inform them of new market trends and technologies

  • Conduct market research to find new customer groups and sales channel opportunities.

  • Create budgeting plans for a period expressed in terms of sales volume and selling prices for each class of product or service

  • Keep informed about industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments and report to the regional office regularly

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business (Electrical or Renewable Energy Engineer degree is preferred)

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales, preferably in industrial products or renewable energy related businesses. 

  • Must have solar and sales experience and knowledge

  • Must have good understanding and market knowledge of Malaysia solar market.

  • Must have strong market network in Malaysia for both supplier and customer accounts.

  • Strong market acumen and have good market network in Malaysia solar industry

  • Has exceptional channel sales management capability and experience.

  • Knowledge in CRM and ERP software is preferred

  • Customer centric and motivated to sell and contribute to overall company sales performance

  • Possess good systematic and analytical thinking, sense of engineering problem solving skills and a customer service mind-set
