About the role

As a result of our continued growth in the UK, we are looking to recruit a Renewables Developer to support the project development team with green field development, acquisitions, business case development and solar project pipeline delivery. Applicants ideally should have a background in renewables project management with two to three years of relatable work experience. The position is for an immediate start based, location flexible (BayWa offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Milton Keynes) with salary dependent on experience and performance.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, management and delivery of our solar portfolio at all stages of development from site evaluation through to pre-construction;
  • Communicate and engage with landowners to agree land (heads/option/lease agreements);
  • Liaising with external consultants – technical and environmental;
  • Engage with technical team on potential site layouts and initial yield analysis;
  • Co-ordinate with wider renewables project team on land, planning and stakeholder engagement issues.
  • Co-ordinate with construction team on pre-construction activities.
  • Reporting on project progress, both through written status reports and presentations at project approval meetings.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings and present projects  to external agencies

  • Two to three years’ experience working in a similar capacity within the energy or a relatable industry;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written (presentations, reports, documents) and spoken;
  • Excellent commercial insight and researching competencies for assessing new business models and key value drivers of projects;
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Building strong, cooperative and productive relationships with the key teams involved in realising projects.
