About the role
In this role you will lead and coordinate the execution of engineering design and technical studies for renewable projects (Wind/Solar)
This position is based in Bangkok, Thailand.

About the role
In this role you will lead and coordinate the execution of engineering design and technical studies for renewable projects (Wind/Solar)
This position is based in Bangkok, Thailand.
What You Will Do
- Lead and coordinate the execution of engineering design (i.e.: prefeasibility, basic, detailed, As-Built) and technical studies (i.e.: topographic, hydrological, geotechnical) for the projects assigned (under development, under construction, O&M), with the support of regional engineering teams or external consultants.
- Ensure the timely completion of engineering activities, applying best practices and regional BayWa r.e. standards.
- Elaborate the planning of the project design activities, in order to guarantee the issuance of project designs in a timely manner.
- Coordinate the preparation, verification and validation of all the technical documentation necessary for authorizations, permitting, purchases, construction and commissioning of projects assigned.
- Establish, with the support of the regional engineering team, the most appropriate technical solutions for the development of project engineering.
- Work closely with construction management team on liaising issues during construction phase:
- a) Guarantee the correct engineering of the project with the collaboration of the technical specialists
- b) Analyze and validate the possible modifications of the Design,
- c) Process the main non-conformities related to the design
- d) Study the requests for technical modifications of the contractors.
- Liaise with and manage external technical consultants for construction, permitting, and other support works
What You Bring
- Engineering degree in relevant field (Civil, Electrical)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer with at least 4 years of work experience in design of large scale Wind projects (onshore and/or offshore) and/or Solar PV projects (hybrid projects (Wind+Solar+BESS+etc) is an advantage)
- Understanding of low, medium and high voltage systems including Transmission Lines, Substations, protection devices and relays.
- AutoCAD proficiency is mandatory. Skills in Civil 3D, Helios3D, PVCase, Windpro, Openwind or similar design software is a major advantage.
- Experience coordinating engineering teams (technical teams, different specialities) is an advantage.
- Understanding of BESS systems is an advantage.
- Experience on Civil works/designs for complex terrains is an advantage.
- Ability to work in English (written and oral)
