From its offices in Bangkok, BayWa r.e. realises renewable energy projects (solar and wind projects, solar distribution) in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and across the APAC region. Our local team of experts brings with them countless years of experience and knowledge of regional markets.

Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team in Bangkok and are currently looking for a Procurement Manager:


  • Identify prospective new suppliers whilst continuously  maintaining the relationship  and evaluating the performance of existing suppliers in terms of cost, quality, delivery, features, and technology.

  • Liaising with internal teams and maintaining all Supply Chain activities to comply with required delivery timelines.

  • Request quotations, negotiate optimal price conditions and taking responsibility for local supply agreements.

  • Preparing and issuing purchase orders.

  • Monitor supplier’s delivery schedule performance and resolve any issues or concerns.

  • Evaluate and examine the quality of delivered, resolving all performance issues or  shortcomings.

  • Analyzing industry and technology developments together with market trends.

  • Develop and implement a sourcing strategy.

  • Prepare reports and maintaining accurate procurement records.

  • Complying with Company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.


  • At least 10 years of experience in purchasing or in a similar role (Solar, construction or industrial products business would be advantage)

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration,  engineering, supply chain management, or a similar field would be preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of sourcing and purchasing strategies.

  • Very good English, both written and spoken.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills and techniques.

  • Strong analytical thinking, positive mindset and problem-solving mentality.

  • Ability to work independently and complete department tasks as assigned.

  • Experience of working across multiple functions and countries.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business application software, including purchasing and resource planning systems.
