BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH is responsible for activities in the field of renewable energy. We develop, realise, advise on and provide support for projects around the world in the areas of solar, wind and bioenergy. In addition, we offer operations management and plant maintenance as well as wholesale photovoltaic components, energy trading and renewable energy solutions for corporations.

Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team in Munich and are currently looking for a PPA Manager (m/f/d):

Your tasks

  • Negotiate and close bankable PPAs, and coordinate all related internal and external processes 
  • Prepare and coordinate tender processes for BayWa r.e. projects with utilities and traders
  • Work on RfP processes from corporate offtakers for wind and solar projects in our European focus countries and manage related processes 
  • Participate in project teams (wind and solar) with typically the sole PPA responsibility for the country/ market
  • Cooperate closely with the sales team from BayWa r.e. Power Solutions and support the customer origination and selection process (off-site and on-site)
  • Provide in-house knowhow transfer on PPA basics, structures and market developments and design alternative offtake structures and concepts

Your profile

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in energy procurement
  • Experience in PPA negotiations, structuring and modelling of renewable energy business cases and analysis of PPA term sheets and contracts
  • Comprehensive understanding of PPA markets, structures, and processes as well as of the project development business, ideally in renewable energies
  • Suitable academic background (e.g. in engineering, economics, or law)
  • Ability to quickly build up relevant know-how on electricity markets in different countries
  • Excellent communication skills in English, ideally also in German
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Affinity to work in a dynamic, international and interdisciplinary business environment
  • Intercultural competence and team-oriented working attitude
  • Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
