About the role
Due to expansion, BayWa r.e. are recruiting for two Wind Operations Analysts to join our growing team in Edinburgh. These newly created roles will provide a key link between our Data Analytics and Asset Management teams, and will ideally suit someone with a maths/science background, excellent IT and analytical skills and a desire to develop into an important role in the Renewable Energy Industry.

What You Will Do

  • Closely collaborating between the Performance Analytics  and Technical Asset Management teams with the aim of support operations, focusing on wind projects.
  • Produce monthly, annual and ad-hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and conduct performance and availability calculations.
  • Collaborating with Technical Asset Managers on Daily/weekly basis with focus on contract deliverables, including reporting, performance calculations and maintenance updates.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance plans, ensuring that all requirements, obligations, and warranty provisions are met.
  • Support in the development of operational KPI’s for Wind Analytics and Asset Management.
  • Development of tools to analyse the performance of operational wind farms based on available real time and historical data.

  • Optimize, review and discuss code and algorithm efficiencies.

What You Bring

  • BSc in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Physics/Engineering or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems as well as analysis of technical data is desirable.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office ecosystem, Excel in particular.
  • Experience in SharePoint with ability to manage forms and populate pages.
  • Experience with Power BI.
  • Naturally well prepared and organised, able to deal with competing priorities, manage a diverse workload and meet targets and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively. influence and negotiate at various levels.
  • Basic SQL database knowledge.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
