Data Services GmbH is rapidly expanding its offerings in the fields of data acquisition, SCADA services, data utilization and 24/7 monitoring as a foundation for safe operations and optimized asset performance as well as for providing employees and customers with the best data base for adopting digital solutions.
The SCADA team, tasked with connecting sites to the internet, overseeing data acquisition, and ensuring cybersecurity for the sites, is seeking to enhance its workforce. We are currently in search of a Network Engineer specializing in Wind and Photovoltaic (m/f/d) to join our expanding team in EU.

The SCADA team, tasked with connecting sites to the internet, overseeing data acquisition, and ensuring cybersecurity for the sites, is seeking to enhance its workforce. We are currently in search of a Network Engineer specializing in Wind and Photovoltaic (m/f/d) to join our expanding team in EU.
What You Will Do
- You will connect new wind and PV sites to the internet
- You will establish data acquisition via typical interfaces (OPC, ODBC etc.)
- You will take care of the cyber security setup of the devices
- You will create and change communication plans and single line diagrams
- You will troubleshooting and retrofit on-sites managed by BayWa r.e.
- You will retrofit planning of sites
- You will improvement of internal systems and processes during project times
- You will work remote on-sites across the globe with focus on-sites in the EMEA region
- You will occasionally on-site support for sites next to you
Your Profile
- You have an educational and professional background in engineering, especially in networks, automation, IT or similar
- You are fluent with networks, IP-addresses, subnetting etc.
- You bring knowledge in IT-security, knowledge of OT-Security is a plus
- Setup of Open VPN and IP-Sec connections is mandatory
- Your experience with renewable assets is welcome but not mandatory
- Your Modbus, OPC, ODBC experience is welcome but not mandatory
- You are fluent in English; every other language is welcome
- You are a team player and enjoy working in a distributed team located in serval offices in the EMEA region
- You are happy to travel (on-site support, visits in Germany for meetings, training etc.).
