Within BayWa r.e.’s operations business, BayWa r.e. Data Services GmbH is rapidly expanding its offerings in the fields of data acquisition and data utilization as a foundation for providing employees and customers with the best experience in adopting digital solutions.

Joining the team of Data Services GmbH will provide you with an excellent knowledge base, skills and real experience to help catapult a successful career within the renewables sector. As a Managing Director (m/f/d) of an international team, you will be focused on supporting the implementation and expansion of data acquisition solutions in a local team, while obtaining support on a global level.

Your tasks

  • Developing, executing, and monitoring business strategies to attain the strategic and financial targets of the company
  • Taking key day-to-day decisions considering financial, human resources, operational, and health and safety aspects
  • Establishing and managing budgets for the company and for individual projects
  • Actively managing risk and identifying mitigation measures to ensure business continuity
  • Preparing and implementing comprehensive business plans and overseeing the company’s financial performance, investments, and other business ventures
  • Directing and supervising recruitment and being responsible for providing guidance, training, and motivation to a growing team
  • Communicating and maintaining trust relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities and representing the company on exhibitions, trade fairs, industry trade organizations, etc.
  • Ensuring that the company policies and legal guidelines are communicated to all team members and followed at all times

Your profile

  • University degree, preferably in a technical, economic, or environmental discipline
  • Outstanding knowledge in the renewable energies industry, particularly in the fields of data acquisition (SCADA) and/or data utilization (control center, advanced analytics)
  • Strong understanding of corporate, legal, and finance background as well as of financial performance metrics
  • Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and detailed financial business plans
  • Extensive and excellent experience in leadership and people management, being a natural coach and inspiring example to improve the strengths and motivation of team members at different levels
  • Proven leadership in managing a multi-skilled, international, and multi-location team with the ability to understand and support other team members´ strengths and abilities
  • Fluency in English is mandatory (both spoken and written), fluent German or another European language advantageous
  • Intercultural awareness and proven cross-cultural management experience
  • Able to remain composed and professional under pressure, keeping a positive outlook
