From its offices in Bangkok, BayWa r.e. realises renewable energy projects (solar and wind projects, solar distribution) in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and across the APAC region. Our local team of experts brings with them countless years of experience and knowledge of regional markets.
  Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team in Bangkok and are currently looking for a Manager of Services APAC:


  • Development of a regional strategy for APAC – in accordance with the global strategy – in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Australia, Korea and Taiwan.

  • Management of the existing team and O&M contracts (300MW+) in South East Asia as well as oversight of the existing team in Australia. Drive organic growth activities.

  • Spearheading M&A activities in the region, i.e. the identification of suitable M&A targets as well as the negotiation and execution of the acquisition deals.

  • Post-merger-integration of the acquired companies and integration into a regional setup.

  • Operational steering and management of the network of local O&M companies.

  • Leading the Bangkok Control Center in cooperation with the Munich team.

  • Focus on the transformation of a quickly developing industry and the changing energy markets as well as the implications on our organizational setup.

  • Deal with large multi-national customers; local customers are supported by the country organizations.


  • Background in renewable energy industry, familiar with the regional markets of Asia-Pacific.

  • University degree in an Engineering discipline or Business Administration.

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience with significant references in a similar position & extensive leadership responsibility.

  • Experience in M&A transactions as well as in Post-Merger-Integration processes.

  • Ability to drive innovation and develop new business models in a transforming industry.

  • Support the Global Director of Services in driving efficiency in the international organization as well as ensuring financial transparency.

  • Strong capability to deal with people and cross cultural background and experiences.

  • Business fluent in English and ideally in one or two local languages.

  • Attitude to work independently at highest standards and with a hands-on mentality.
