Junior Power Purchase Agreement Manager

Purpose: You will support our Energy Solutions team for the negotiation and management of  corporate PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) termsheets and contracts.


The position can be based in one of our offices in Malaysia, Vietnam or Thailand and will report to our PPA Manager in Thailand
 

What You Will Do

  • Support PPA Managers throughout the negotiation process of long-term power purchase agreement (“PPA”), for both on-site and off-site solutions.
  • Requesting and reviewing indicative PPA terms and conditions of PPA off-takers.
  • After PPA contract execution: Follow-up on further SPV responsibilities and deliverables according to the PPA.
  • Support PPA Managers for the organization of tender processes for PPA volumes of newly secured/built projects from the BayWa r.e. solar/wind pipeline.
  • Assessment of regulatory framework for PPAs in the respective country and development of applicable PPA structures including assessment of current country-specific market prices and long-term price curve forecasts.
  • Perform off-takers credit rating risks assessment.

What You Bring

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Legal or related. Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working in energy/infrastructure/finance industry and preferably experience in power contract negotiations, energy regulations, or commercial management
  • Experience in renewable energy project development/management (on-site/off-site), renewable credit programs, and corporate sustainability is strongly preferred
  • Experience building relationships with external stakeholders, such as clients and partners is strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English, a second Asian language is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
