Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team  and are currently looking for a Head of  Transactions (m/f/x) Offshore Wind. The position can be located in Munich, UK or Madrid.

Your tasks

  • You will manage and execute participation in centralised offshore wind tenders worldwide and project acquisitions/JV transactions.
  • You will be responsible to create short- and long term market overview ensuring focus on most competitive cost/revenue projects and understanding of the competitive situation in tenders
  • You will lead and coordinate the Teams activities in relation to the opportunity, providing reporting as necessary.
  • You will take the lead on all commercial and financial evaluation aspects, overseeing all financial modelling and coordinating technical and other inputs from internal and external specialists.
  • You will manage interfaces and use of resources of other departments (e.g. CorpFin, FiCo, Legal) when needed to secure buy-in, expertise and internal approvals.
  • You will coordinate external consultants´ support ensuring internal experts are involved where needed to define the scope of work, review outputs and ensure expenditure is planned and executed within budget.
  • You will propose pragmatic conditions for partnerships in line with Corporate standards and to ensure that the right Governance is in place to protect BayWa r.e.'s interest in investments.

Your profile

  • You have a university degree in Engineering, Major in Business, Economics (or equal) with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience as a leader in an international organisation and within a wind environment
  • You have an outstanding network to policy makers, stake holders, and other players in the offshore wind market
  • You have strong leadership skills and practice a team-oriented leadership style with a good balance of people- and results-orientation in an international environment
  • You have comprehensive understanding of market dynamics in BayWa r.e.'s core markets and the revenue side of wind projects as well as experience with transactions and financial modelling
  • Your command of English is strong, both verbally and written
  • You have several years of experience in executing cross-functional processes and projects with a high number of stakeholders with different backgrounds
  • You are technically and digitally inclined
