Head of Sales Technical Support Trade SEA

About the role
As the supervisor of all technical team in SEA, you will be working to improve our technical customer service, technical capability, technical trainings, supplier technical and quality qualifications.
This position can be based in Bangkok (Thailand), Makati (Philippines) or Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam)

What You Will Do

  • Timely quality review of product specifications and applications for various products from our product portfolio
  • Advise customers on technical designs, technical specifications and cost optimization of detailed engineering solutions designs and bill of materials
  • Qualify new supplier technical specifications, quality and reliability of various products from our portfolio
  • Manage warranty and customer technical claims and take lead on maintaining spares and product replacements
  • Lead technical trainings and customer education drive for the Trade business in Southeast Asia
  • Keep up with last technology developments and keep team aware of such new developments
  • Identifying new market technical challenges and potential technology advancements to integrate in new projects and solutions across the different departments
  • Supervision of the Technical team across Southeast Asia and setting key performance indicators for the technical department
  • Help the Business Development department in identifying and preparing proposals, in particular preparing technical methodologies, bill of materials and budgets and technical drawings for proposals.

What You Bring

  • University degree in Engineering, preferably in mechanical, electrical or PV
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in design, project management and technical customer support for solar projects
  • Previous experience managing technical departments is highly desirable
  • Knowledgeable of Southeast Asia solar industry and technical requirements
  • Good communication skills in English with a strong ability to explain complex technical topics. Mandarin speaking is a plus
  • Proficiency with RE system design tools such as HelioScope/ PVSyst and HOMER with AutoCAD
