We have an established team of highly skilled and dedicated professionals growing our business activities by developing, constructing, and operating our renewable generation portfolio throughout the region. 

About the role
As a part of our Corporate Finance team, you will support the corporate finance in South Korea and your particular focus will be on financial modelling and investment proposals, project financing as well as providing commercial and transaction support to project teams.

This position will be based in our office in South Korea.

What You Will Do

Modelling and investment proposals
  • Prepare cashflow-based financial models for renewable energy projects such as Solar, Wind and Hydro
  • Building tax, accounting and debt schedules into detailed asset models
  • Analyze and interpret results, run sensitivities to help with the assessment of investment opportunities
  • Understand and analyze target financial statements
  • Understand and optimize the project contractual structures from a financial perspective
  • Define, document, and monitor all project assumptions throughout the different technologies and markets in the APAC region
  • Support drafting investment and divestment proposals and presentations with input from the project team
  • Keep track of comparable transactions, and support in documentation management
  • Monitor investments performance
Transaction support
  • Support origination activities with the project development team
  • Assist in the execution of deals - acquisition, project financing and divestment
  • Support transactions and coordinate due diligence work streams with external advisors and internal team members (developers, lawyers, technical advisors, EPC contractors, etc.) for both project finance and divestments
  • Actively support Senior Corporate Finance member for the entire sales and financing process from tendering, preparation of data room and sales materials, managing due diligence and Q&A (financial, technical, legal, tax and insurance), and negotiating the financing and divestiture documentation
  • Participates in the review and mark up of extensive transaction documentation
Commercial Support
  • Commercial support of the project teams from acquisition, implementation and through to project sales. For example, financial evaluation, structuring in terms of debt, equity and tax aspects, investment committee documentation preparation and contract negotiation and review.
  • Providing investment analysis and recommendations for bids, offers, or term sheets for new opportunities, in coordination with the project team.
  • Part of the APAC team in Seoul office and will also work closely with Corporate Finance team in Munich, the global head office

What You Bring

  • Degree in relevant field such as business administration, law, economics, finance, banking or industrial engineering.
  • 7 - 9 years of professional experience in corporate transactions at a project developer, investment bank, M&A advisory or audit firm.
  • Market knowledge in the renewable energy sector is desirable.
  • Good communication skills and able to work in an interdisciplinary and multicultural team environment.
  • Excellent applied Excel skills and competent financial modeler.
  • Fluent in English and Korean, both written and spoken.
  • Multi-tasking and able to work in a small dynamic team setting.
