About the role
We are currently looking for a Contracts Manager to lead the compilation of all major tender packs alongside the Project Management team, based in our Edinburgh Office.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the compilation of all major tender packs with support from Project Management team, approving all tender packs before issue
  • Review tender returns and work in conjunction with Legal support and project management to negotiate final contractual position
  • Review, input, and approve final recommendation paper on major procurement contracts
  • Supervise contract execution to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Support project and construction managers by taking the lead in contractual claim assessment and negotiation. 
  • Support project and construction managers (PM & CM) with contract administration.
  • Implement lessons learned process for continuous contractual improvements.
  • Maintain, update, and improve contractual records.

What You Bring

  • Experience drafting, negotiating and administering Balance of Plant, wind turbine, solar EPC, ICP, grid, or other multi-million pound contracts.
  • Experience managing various contract forms (FIDIC,NEC3 etc.).
  • Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Strong research skills and an in-depth understanding of financial analytics and legal agreements.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail, thoroughness and mathematical abilities.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Law, Construction Management or similar qualification.
  • A good understanding of renewable project delivery.
  • High degree of self-responsibility and flexibility.
  • Logical thinker and clear communicator with solid interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent spoken and written business English.
  • Strong IT skills.
