About the role
The Construction Manager will oversee the construction on-site activities required for building Wind and Solar projects for BayWa r.e. in South Korea, to ensure for compliance with the Project schedule, to monitor and enforce compliance with subcontract requirements, and to implement the Project Construction Execution plan.

The position will be based in our office in Seoul, South Korea.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and coordinate all on-site Contractors/ Subcontractors activities for compliance with the Project schedule and monitors and enforces compliance with subcontract requirements.
  • Implement the Project Construction Execution plan.
  • Direct on-site staff in Daily, Weekly planning process. Supervises and leadership. Monitors and report construction productivity and schedule performance (Including trends) to team leader and office.
  • Takes actions necessary to meet project budget and schedule requirements.
  • Coordinates the Construction Completion walkthrough and the Complete handover.
  • Quality Planning and Management as well as on-site quality control checking following the standard requirement checklist.
  • Prepare and update the construction checklist.
  • Construction/Installation daily quality monitoring and report.
  • Produce the Daily report, weekly report reporting to the PM/team leader.
  • Manage the on-site coordination meeting on Daily and Weekly meeting as well as proper record the meeting minutes and circulate with all relevant parties.
  • Promote and Comply with all company and HSEQ policy and procedure as well as HES planning and management and on site monitoring the construction activities to complies with the HES plan and procedure, report and tracking the incident including near miss.
  • Construction drawings review and constructability input/feedback.
  • Ensure all the permits through the construction phase are complies.
  • Punchlist checking, follow up, closeout prior to handover.
  • Support an as-built drawings/documents preparation and follow up.
  • Materials delivery tracking, following, report.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Construction team in APAC for preparing RFP documentation for BOP/EPC tender when required.
  • Closely collaboration with our Engineering and Construction team in APAC, to secure a successful implementation of best practices, procedures and regional BayWa r.e. standards in APAC, and to achieve the regional KPIs and Roadmaps.
  • Able to travel upcountry and outside S. Korea for project related works and training/ workshops.

What You Bring

  • At least 5 years of experience in Solar project construction management and renewable energy construction management or Project management.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experiences in EPC contract and Contractor management
  • Experiences in Substation and transmission line construction management.
  • OSHA training, experiences in on site EHS management.
  • Relevant certificate will be advantage.
  • Strong leadership skill, Interpersonal skill.
  • Excellent in IT skills, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in Korean and Excellent English communication skills in both oral and written.
  • Able to work on site base.
  • Strong negotiation and conflicts resolution skills.
  • Excellent team and collaborative skills.
  • Experience in Wind projects is an advantage.
  • Certified Electrical Engineer, Renewable Energy Engineer, Construction Safety Engineer, Civil Engineering Engineer by Q-Net in Korea is an advantage.
