BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH is responsible for activities in the field of renewable energy. We develop, realise, advise on and provide support for projects around the world in the areas of solar, wind and bioenergy. In addition, we offer operations management and plant maintenance as well as wholesale photovoltaic components, energy trading and renewable energy solutions for corporations.

BayWa r.e.'s Business Entity Energy Solutions offers tailor-made energy solutions for commercial and industrial companies (C&I). Our portfolio includes the development and realisation of solar rooftop installations, storage and charging solutions as well as power supply contracts in our key countries in EMEA and APAC. We also offer a broad service portfolio in several other countries thanks to our experienced team of experts. In order to expand into new markets, we look for a Business Development Manager (m/f/d) located in Freiburg:

Your tasks

  • You drive Energy Solutions’ Business Development strategy in the EMEA region
  • You aim at developing the global business further and thereby assist our APAC and Americas Business Development teams
  • You coordinate the alignment of Energy Solutions’ markets development with activities of other BayWa r.e. entities
  • You identify partners, stakeholders, policy makers, market segments and applications for suitable business models, specified for Energy Solutions, in selected markets
  • You are responsible for setting up the business strategy, targeted business planes as well as action plans to deliver on identified opportunities with focus on EMEA, acting as an interface for coordinating the relevant stakeholders for market entries and the operational oversight
  • You understand, research and perform market analysis and segmentation of key customers by region and application
  • You support strategy development of our Product Development and Sales Teams
  • You assist with feasibility of M&A opportunities (acquiring existing companies) and support M&A process coordination

Your profile

  • You have minimum 5-8 years relevant working experience in C&I Business Development, within the (renewable) energy sector would be a strong asset;
  • You have an affinity to technologies and new technological developments
  • You are capable to coordinate and review/edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from product development, sales, marketing, legal.
  • You have strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • You are not afraid to propose innovative solutions
  • You have the sense of priorities and you have an analytical and entrepreneurial mindset
  • You have a dynamic personality, well organized and can work independently
  • You speak business fluent English, German would be an asset
