Our Energy Solutions business provides customised solution packages for corporate customers with operations across different countries. Our self-consumption business model allows companies around the world to become energy independent.  

Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team and are currently looking for a Business Development Intern. This position can be located in our office in either Freiburg or Munich (with remote working option). 

Your tasks

  • You mainly support our business development activities by looking at where and how to grow the business internationally 
  • You undertake research on the distributed solar PV, storage, charging and PPA markets across the EMEA and APAC regions  
  • You support cross-border projects with market insights  
  • You help shaping our internal strategy on entering new markets  
  • You work on the development of the self-consumption business case  
  • You support the roll-out of our country assessment and work with colleagues across our Sales, Products, Services and Segment Support teams to deliver solutions in new markets  
  • You analyse potential corporate customers, relevant stakeholders, competitors, contractors and suppliers  
  • You keep track of relevant M&A developments for our segment  
  • You participate in online webinars and events within the energy sector  

Your profile

  • You have a relevant university degree, with a focus on energy economics and/or international energy markets
  • You are available for a full-time internship of at least 4 to 6 months
  • You have an understanding of the energy markets in EMEA and/or APAC and are interested in regulatory and policy developments in the energy markets across these regions 
  • Relevant work or academic experience across EMEA or APAC is an advantage 
  • You are an experienced user of Excel and PowerPoint 
  • You are fluent in English, other languages are an advantage 
  • You have an open and flexible mind-set and enjoy working with international teams and on cross-border projects 
  • You feel comfortable in a digital work environment
