About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst (m/f/d) based in Utrecht to support on a range of commercial activities (like business models development, integrated due diligences, committee memos drafting and board presentations) to support the project teams and the management in making smart and informed business decisions.

What You Will Do

  • You will use and maintain best practice financial models to analyse and evaluate new and existing projects, undertake project finance analysis, and scenario analysis  
  • You will assist Project Developers and Managers with investment analysis and project valuation and benchmarking, providing clear recommendations
  • You will support on business case development for new projects, including investment analysis, financial structuring, and preparation of Board and Investment Committee documentation
  • You will assist with M&A activities, including but not limited to preparing bid models, undertaking due diligence, managing external advisers, managing data rooms and Q&A, and preparing investment documentation, with the perspective of M&A processes end to end.

Your Profile

  • Excellent technical or economical-financial degree
  • Up to 3 years post-graduate experience in similar role. Experience in renewable energy is a plus. 
  • IT skills: excellent Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to manage a range of priorities with tight deadlines
  • Highly analytical thinker with a structured and logical approach to problem solving and ability to organize work independently and attention to details
  • Experience in the energy industry is preferred
  • You are a self-motivated and enthusiastic team player with a getting-things-done mindset
  • Full command of the Dutch and English language.
