About the role
As part of the Energy Solution Asset Management Team in Southeast Asia, you will manage the day-to-day technical and project management aspects of our Asset Management Services (for both BayWa re owned assets and externally owned assets) in Southeast Asia region.
This position will be based in Bangkok, Thailand.

About the role
As part of the Energy Solution Asset Management Team in Southeast Asia, you will manage the day-to-day technical and project management aspects of our Asset Management Services (for both BayWa re owned assets and externally owned assets) in Southeast Asia region.
This position will be based in Bangkok, Thailand.
What You Will Do
- Asset Performance Management: Monitor the technical performance of renewable energy assets to ensure optimal efficiency and output.
- Data Analysis: Utilize performance data and analytics tools to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Maintenance Oversight: Collaborate with operations & maintenance teams to develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum asset availability.
- Insurance renewals and claims: ensure that all relevant insurance policies are in place and prepare, execute, and resolve any insurance claims.
- Technical Audits: Conduct regular technical audits of assets, identifying potential risks, defects, or performance issues and implementing strategies to address them.
- Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring that assets adhere to all technical and safety standards.
- Spare parts and equipment warranty management: monitor equipment warranty status, spare parts level for each asset with support from local O&M Contractors and OEM suppliers.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with EPC Contractors, O&M Contractors, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and any other technical service providers to optimize asset performance and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Permit & License Tracking and Renewal
- Performance Reporting: Prepare and present technical performance reports to internal and external stakeholders, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and recommended actions.
- Contractual and dispute management: focusing on the technical aspects manage, support negotiations, and liaise with relevant stakeholders with respect to PPA, EPC Contracts, O&M Contracts, Lease Agreements and Service Agreements.
- Health & Safety Monitoring: oversee health, safety, and environmental procedures consistent with the E&S Policy.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in asset management and/or project management within the renewable energy sector, with a strong focus on technical aspects. Experience with solar and wind energy systems is preferred.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of renewable energy systems, including their design, operation, and maintenance. Familiarity with SCADA systems, data analysis tools, and performance monitoring platforms.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify technical challenges, analyze data, and develop innovative solutions to enhance asset performance and reliability.
- Communication: Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data-driven insights to make informed decisions and recommendations.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams across Southeast Asia, collaborating with operations, maintenance, finance, and regulatory departments.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and industry trends.
- Passion: A genuine interest in renewable energy and sustainability, coupled with a desire to contribute to the growth of a greener future.
