Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team and are currently looking for an Asset Manager IPP (Independent Power Producer) (m/f/d). The position can either be located in our headquarters in Munich or in one of our other offices.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for the centralized operational overview of an IPP portfolio of currently 700MW Wind and PV assets globally. Future growth of up to 3GW focus mainly in the EMEA region;
  • Liaise with local asset managers in different markets on a regular basis;
  • Support the development of an overall IPP asset management strategy;
  • Set-up, implement, and manage the IPP asset management strategy;
  • Critical review and challenge of technical and commercial performance of IPP assets;
  • Responsible for monthly asset management reporting and annual budget planning;
  • Engage with colleagues to understand and evaluate asset risks and opportunities;
  • Manage financial and technical performance tracking of assets against budget and other KPIs;
  • Contribute to enhancing best practice methods, valuation processes, knowledge management, internal tools & templates;
  • Take ownership of discrete areas of business development work streams and support the wider team in achieving our goals;
  • Ad-hoc analyses and research in various relevant markets;
  • Participate in a pool of experts from different Business Units to interact and exchange about current and planned activities, best practices, cross functional analyses;
  • Potentially leading a small team.

What You Bring

  • Relevant degree in the technical, engineering or business area;
  • At least 7 years’ professional experience of asset management or similar activities, 3 years thereof in leadership positions;
  • Sound technical and engineering capabilities;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Sound knowledge of operational business activities;
  • Sound knowledge of interpreting and assessing asset P&L statements, balance sheets, budgets;
  • Creative and pragmatic with an ability to find solutions to challenging problems;
  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders;
  • Ability to translate analysis into practical and implementable recommendations;
  • Naturally curious, self-motivated and enthusiastic;
  • Flexible attitude and ability to be proactive and act on own initiative;
  • A team player, willing to provide support to all colleagues;
  • Excellent English & German communication skills, both written (presentations, reports, documents) and spoken;
  • Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint;
  • Ideally good understanding of energy markets.
