About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant/Financial Controller (m/f/d) based in Utrecht or within the Netherlands to join our rapidly expanding business with a focus on financial bookkeeping, management accounting and internal reporting. This will include the implementation of new tools to simplify daily activities and to professionalize our accounting and reporting processes.
We are looking to build a department with sophisticated financial systems that can scale as we continue to grow.

What You Will Do

  • You will manage the invoice processing and payroll to and from an external service provider and manage the bookkeeping process (Local GAAP) and the preparation of monthly financial statements
  • You will coordinate tax advisors and other financial service providers in the Netherlands and in Belgium
  • You will prepare various fiscal declaration and other reports according to local requirements
  • You will be in charge of the monthly IFRS reconciliation (based on BayWa r.e. Group accounting guidelines) including the provision of accurate financial data to the management team and to BayWa r.e. Group
  • You will support in the management control activities e.g. in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, variance analyses at company and projects level
  • You will coordinate tax advisors in preparing fiscal declarations based on local requirements (BE and NL)
  • You will be responsible for transfer pricing and intercompany agreements and manage treasury of the business and of project SPVs
  • You will report on the company's cash flow forecast and guarantee requirements, as well as managing relationships with external banks
  • You will support the implementation of new tools to improve efficiency of daily activities, check payslips and coordinating the payroll
  • You will be cooperating with the team to ensure compliance and accuracy in internal processes

Your Profile

  • Qualified accountant or bachelor or master’s degree in accounting/Finance/Economics or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience with advanced knowledge of accounting, controlling and tax procedures. Experience in renewable energy companies is a plus.
  • Good knowledge of Local GAAP (OIC) and IFRS
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft MS Excel, MS Word and MS Power Point
  • Experience in use of accounting systems, preferable Workday and SAP
  • Organised and detail oriented but with an eye on the bigger picture
  • Team player but also ability to organize work independently
  • Full command of the English language, Dutch is a plus
