BayWa r.e. Romania is in the process of building a significant portfolio of renewable energy projects with a focus on solar and wind energy to support the energy transition in Romania. It is also bringing innovative renewable energy approaches such as hybrids, energy storage, agriPV and floating PV to the market to address some of its key challenges.

About the role

Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team and are currently looking for an Accountant (m/f/d) for our team in Bucharest.

What You Will Do

You will reconcile the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
You will complete analysis of the employee expenditures
You will manage income and expenditure accounts
You will generate the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data
You will keep a check on the company’s finances based on financial status
You will file and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
You will initiate and manage financial and accounting software used by the company

Your Profile

You have an academic degree in Business Administration, Economics or comparable education
You have gained professional experience in Accounting for more than 3 years
You have an excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
You have experience with accounting software, data entry and spreadsheets
You are proactive, hands-on and able to work independently
You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Romanian
